Community Outreach:

Community Outreach is a vital component of the Fulton County Sheriff's Office. This section promotes safety to Fulton County citizens of all ages and coordinates events to educate members of the community which is one of the Constitutional mandates of the Office. Special events include the Fall Festival for children and their families, participation in the Senior And Law Enforcement Together (SALT) Annual Senior Conference, the distribution of obsolete uniform coats to needy families, Easter Egg Hunt for children, and several other activities throughout the year.


The 2010 G.R.E.A.T (Gang Resistance Education & Training) graduates from Hope Elementary School. The Fulton County Sheriff's Office Community Outreach staff educates today's younger generation on avoiding violence, drugs,  and gang activity.

Each year, the Sheriff's Office coordinates a Fall Festival to interact with the family & friends of Fulton County. Sheriff Jackson enjoyed lending his strength during a bout of tug of war with participants.

Chaplain Program

The purpose of the Fulton County Sheriff's Office Chaplain's Program is to promote the availability of chaplains to meet the spiritual and emotional needs of the sheriff's employees, their families, and member of the community and to create a partnership between the Sheriff's Office and the community through dialogue, support, prevention programs, and prayer in order to maximize limited resources.

The chaplains host monthly meetings with Sheriff Theodore Jackson to discuss community issues. The following are examples of projects spearheaded by the chaplains:

  • Homeless Initiative to provide personal hygiene products and other supplies to persons in need.

  • Annual Youth Conference (H.Y.P.E., Helping Youth Prosper and Evolve).

  • Thanksgiving basket drive to collect food for families with limited economic resources.
